About Minister Catt
Catheline Henderson (“Minister Catt”) is a Mother, Leader, Teacher and Preacher of God’s Word. She was brought up in ministry under her stepfather’s guidance and tutelage, the late Rev. Dr. Arthur E. Jones at Jones Tabernacle Baptist Church in Baltimore, Maryland and her mother, the former Superintendent of Sunday School, Mrs. Lavern Jones. Minister Catt started her ministerial journey at the tender age of 8, singing in the Children’s Choir and as a member of the Youth Division of the National Baptist Congress. She continued her love and passion of music through several years of piano lessons and then transitioned to formal training in dance and theater.
She accepted Christ as her personal savior at the age of 12 and continued to grow in her love of ministry through local, state and national conventions. In 1995, she relocated to Dallas, Texas, where she was under the direct ministerial training of Rev. Dr. Freddie Haynes, Senior Pastor, Friendship-West Baptist Church. It was there she received her calling to preach God’s word and quietly began her training and preparation. Through the years, she continued to seek God’s guidance for His timing is perfect. “For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry.” (Hab. 2:3)
Several years later, God led her back to the Baltimore, Maryland area where she currently serves as a licensed minister with great joy at her local church, The Tabernacle of the Lord Church and Ministries (formally, Jones Tabernacle Baptist Church) under the leadership of Bishop C. Guy Robinson.
Minister Catt is known for her creative style of preaching which blends contemporary concepts with Biblical principles and is relatable to all generations. She is often called upon to minister women’s’ groups and youth groups but has a calling to reach all of God’s people.
Minister Catt holds a Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies from the University of Maryland and will graduate with her Masters in Divinity from Hampton University in May 2025. She has also been accepted into the Doctoral Program at Hampton University and will begin her pursuit of the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Public Theology and Community Engagement in July 2025. She is the proud mother of one daughter, London.
